Perfect for anyone looking to learn the Weber way of cooking, this introductory course will teach you how to achieve consistently great results with classic barbecue dishes. You will learn must-have barbecue skills, such as lighting, controlling temperature and how to tell when your food is cooked to perfection.

Using Weber's lid-on technique on both charcoal and gas barbecues, an expert chef will spend two and a half hours teaching you the best way to cook a number of all time barbecue classics. As part of this course you'll be asked to prepare your own juicy cheeseburgers and be taught how to cut and portion a whole chicken, using the various peices to create a succulent barbecued chicken dish. The chef will also show just one of the many possibilities to expand your barbecue menu with a demonstration of the famous "beer can chicken."

Weber Essentials

This course teaches you how to use the Weber way of cooking to open up a world of possibilities on your barbecue. As well as covering off key skills such as lighting and temperature control, you'll be learning how to perfect steaks, roasts, pizzas and even cakes!

Suitable for those who want to learn to cook food other than the standard barbecue fayre of burgers and sausages, the Essentials Course shows how to use Weber’s renowned “lid-on” barbecue technique to grill, roast, smoke and bake! During the 4 hours you and your classmates will prepare a varitey of different dishes under the guidance of an expert chef. Using a combination of charcoal and gas barbecues you'll be taught skills from lighting techniques to controlling temperature and knowing when your food is perfectly cooked. You'll receive a demonstration from the chef on how to cook the perfect steak and we'll ask you to get hands-on with some dough and create your own stone baked pizza!

  • Beer can chicken with herb and butter paprika rub

Seafood Essentials

If you love seafood flavours, then this 4-hour barbecue course is a must. During this course you and your classmates will prepare a variety of different dishes under the guidance of an expert chef. Using a combination of charcoal and gas barbecues, you'll be taught sklls from lighting techniques to controlling temperature and knowing when your food is perfectly cooked. 

In addition to being shown how to use Weber's "lid-on" cooking techniques, the chef will demonstrate smoking mussels with garlic, cream and white wine, as well as teaching you how to fillet a whole fish to create mouth-watering fish tacos.

This extensive four-hour course will see you learning new cooking techniques under the guidance of our expert Grill Academy chefs. Focusing on the iconic charcoal range, you’ll learn all the essential skills for barbecue success, including how to correctly light the barbecue, the different cooking methods and how to control the temperature effectively.

You'll learn how to create great roasts on the barbecue and get your Yorkshire puddings right every time! The chef will also demonstrate how to prepare and cook a turkey on the barbecue so you can treat your family to a rather special Christmas feast.
